About Us - California Longevity and Vitality Medical Institute®HARVEY S. BARTNOF, MD is the Founder and Medical Director of California Longevity and Vitality Medical Institute® in San Francisco, California. He is a licensed physician in the state of California. Dr. Bartnof was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and completed his undergraduate BA (Bachelor Of Arts) degree with high honors in Biology from the University Of California At San Diego (UCSD, Revelle College) in La Jolla, California. He received his M.D. (medical doctor) degree from the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) with honors in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Clinical Pharmacology and Otolaryngology. He did his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. Subsequently, he was a full-time Staff Physician at Santa Teresa Community Medical Center in San Jose, California in Emergency Medicine for eight years, followed by more than ten years in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine (Urgent Care). He was on the clinical faculty in the Department of Medicine at UCSF for eight years, where he was Course Co-Director of "AIDS-HIV: Overview and Update."
