Minerals and Supplements

A publication in the Journal of
the American Medical Association concluded that many Americans are
lacking the necessary levels of vitamins and minerals for optimal
health. Recent publications also indicate that a significant proportion
of elderly people are severely deficient in certain vitamins.
Every patient at California Longevity and Vitality Medical Institute® is
evaluated to determine what types of vitamins, macro-minerals,
micro-minerals, trace elements, and supplements would optimize his/her
healthspan. Dr. Bartnof understands and recognizes that some patients
may prefer to take natural supplements as a part of their regimen using
an “Integrative Medicine” approach. He has participated in medical
education programs at the Scripps Institute (La Jolla, CA) and the
Integrative Medicine program at the University of Arizona (Tucson) to
become knowledgeable about using evidence-based supplements.
Lifestyle Modification
Each patient is evaluated to determine what types of lifestyle
modification would optimize ‘healthspan,’ energy and vitality. Examples
include:
